Fingal Head Lighthouse, NSW. Australia.
from 200.00

Finding a place on the Gold Coast to shoot the Milky Way is almost impossible. In order to photograph it clearly, you need little to no light pollution. We never thought to shoot at Fingal Heads and after a recent shoot here at sunrise, the idea just struck us. It took a few months in the making for this dream shot to come true though.

We had to wait for the Milky Way to rise vertically, the moon to be set and the biggest problem of all…no clouds. Clouds just continued to be a problem for us and we had to return to shoot here 6 times… (yes, 6 cold wintery nights). But with perfect clear winter skies finally appearing, it all came together. We even had a shooting star in our shot just to top it all off!
