Vestrahorn is a 450m high mountain overlooking the Atlantic Ocean and part of the headland of Stokksnes. The shore features stunning lava dunes, that are constantly being shaped by the natural forces of water & wind.
We've taken photos all around the world & witnessed some pretty amazing moments, but we've never experienced a moment so still & calm as this. There wasn't a breathe of wind, and the reflection was the perfect mirror the morning we captured this.
The sun, fog, waves and those black dunes perform a truly dramatic view. Wet sand mirrors reflections of the mountainous range above, providing an enigmatic site. This is one more place to add to the Icelandic bucket list!
